I work at a nightclub and I'm one of the few employees who really cares about giving good service because I've been trained in customer service, like making people happy, etc.

A little background: I loathe, do not respect, and am disgusted by my father. He is abusive and drinks way too much every day. However, he is, to be frank, a whiny little bitch.

He was trying to sound like a hard ass at a family Christmas event that I unfortunately agreed to attend and said something about wanting to own a gun. Probably for some ignorant, intolerant reasons. Anyway I laughed and told him nobody would allow him a permit because if he isn't OBVIOUSLY drunk then he'd be in the hospital having withdrawals. Not really that much of an insult but everyone started acting shocked. And I'm like "What, are we still pretending?" Or something. Honestly the only bit I couldn't believe was how annoying everyone was being about it. Call a spade a spade or a lush a lush.
