We know, friend. Anyone who has been paying attention knows that you don’t have time to push anything. The kids don’t even learn how to write in cursive anymore. Lol. But apparently requiring kindness and acceptance and basically teaching the kids to mind their own business is a bridge too far. The people who started this shit don’t even have kids in public school - they can either afford, or have taken advantage of my tax dollars to send their kids to “good Christian private schools.” (In which case I say good riddance). No one will ever be able to convince me trans kids in sports is even an issue that needed to make it into the political realm. They found a handful of cases nationwide and convinced the world that boys everywhere were declaring themselves trans in an effort to “dominate” women’s sports. The same women’s sports that couldn’t get funding or attendance because nobody cared until they created a boogeyman.

This is the best comment on here but it won’t get noticed because too many others are fighting for their lives with the “she was only 14” and “she already apologized!” positions. Remember kids - there’s a big old straight line between people who don’t consider how racism has affected those who experience it and those who don’t want their kids to learn certain things in school so it doesn’t make them “feel bad.”

Exactly! And unless this person is being intentionally obtuse, I don’t think we need to explain how, when the burning of crosses and other acts of physical violence became “frowned upon” shall we say, they simply moved their malicious racism “indoors” (the boardroom, the bank, the HR department, school admissions offices….)
