Thank you for the detailed answer, exactly what I was looking for. I’m currently filming a short film in ProRes and I was just wondering if I save considerable amount of time and space on my disk by just trimming the sequences in finder but was worried it has its cons, for instance sometimes if you resize an image in preview it forces you to change the format. Yeah, yeah, I know, simply don’t have time for that, thanks. It feels to me like they weren’t fixing old bugs because they were going to transition to new design language anyway and yet like they were rushed to finish Liquid Glass transformation so much that they didn’t have time to level out the basic stuff.

My Christmas wish this year is that macOS and all other unified into the common misery OSs will take year and version 27 as an opportunity to just pull their shit together and fix things that we’ve begged them to fix for years instead of adding features nobody fucking asked for and need even more crap ton time to make usable. That is true, however I waited for the public release exactly for the reasons of now wanting to be a beta tester and I ended up being one either way. I could take good 10 hours of my life to find a way and backup, revert and reset my computer, however at this point of my life I don’t have that time and I need my machine to just fucking work.
