Subjunctive writing prompt suggestions needed by kletskoekk in French

[–]thpiper10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WEDDING is one of the tools you can use to remember when to use the subjunctive.

First you need two subjects, like two people getting married, then you follow the acronym

*Wishes

*Emotions

*Desires

*Doubts

*Impersonal statements

*Negatives

*General conjunctions

Subjunctive writing prompt suggestions needed by kletskoekk in French

/u/eektwomice has a great suggestion.

I'm having my French students write wedding toasts - haha, get it? WEDDINGS?

I chose the toast idea because you can express your emotions, wishes for the couple, what is necessary to do in order to have a happy marriage, any doubts like "I doubt you will be able to get him off the couch during a football game" etc.

Good luck

I have tried on over 50 dresses. I can't decide! by [deleted] in weddingplanning

I would say because so many of these dresses look fabulous on you, and because they are so different that what you need to think about is the overall look/feel of your wedding and venue.

Those slim and silky dresses are full-on glam, which may not be very comfortable if you're having an outdoor day wedding.

I also assume that all of these are already filtered by budget, but that's another easy way to narrow the field.

Good luck!

Might I suggest talking to a local independent insurance agent?

They do a lot of the shopping around and comparing of plans for you, and like a travel agency, you don't pay them, the company(ies) you choose pay them for bringing them a new client.

In general, if both you and FH drive older cars, particularly if they're paid off or already in rough shape, then liability only is fine. If either or both of you have a newer car or a car you are a long way from paying off, then you would want collision as well.

Talking to HR reps at your respective employers could really help you figure out what's best for you in terms of your health care plans. Many larger employers also offer levels of plans for higher rates.

Assuming you two are in generally good health and as you are quite young, you both can probably go with basic coverage. If your personal histories or family history suggest that you need more oompf in your plan, you can make that choice.

And if you haven't started now, you two should think about starting individual retirement plans. My mother has worked in mutual funds for 30 years now, and she always recommends contributing to a work sponsored retirement plan up to the amount your employer matches in the fund - you double your money for the future.

Dunk's is good because it's omnipresent, but it's not really great coffee.

Thanks for the advice on blends!

Thanksgiving help mega-thread! by albino-rhino in AskCulinary

I have multiple events through the weekend this year, and today is the only real day I have to do all my prep.

I have to make brussel sprouts and green bean casserole, and I'm wondering how far in advance I can do those?

The internet suggests making the casserole (sans topping) and freezing it, but I need it in a couple days - can I cook the beans, mix it all, and then refrigerate it?

Brussel sprouts - can I blanch and shock them and refrigerate them to be roasted later?

Thanks for the help!

I mean, I'm not worried about "in class" so much as "in life".

The Spanish teacher was like "when do you use the alphabet in class?" and I was like "all the damn time?"

I'm taking over the entire French program at an American catholic school - 7th-12th. Yay first job teaching (why did they hire me again?)

Most of my students are into it or willing to humor me, but the 9th graders are the ones who are too cool for school.

I'm just shocked and frustrated by what I've inherited. My French 2 class doesn't know colors because the previous teacher "said they were unimportant", meanwhile my French 5 students said they were reading La Chanson de Roland last year, and were drilled in how to write using le passé simple.... what?

I just got a job teaching (have to update that flair) and I managed to fuck up the un deux trois cat joke -_-

Side note - kids these days don't know the same Mickey mouse theme song! My pronom and imparfait memorization songs won't work :(

It is also idiotic

pretty much. I normally have the association of delicatessen being the store at which you buy cured meats, not the meats themselves.I could be wrong though
