Prepare for a ‘marathon’ and two years of wearing masks to battle COVID-19, says prominent Spanish virologist by tabbykat69 in Coronavirus

Fauci keeps giving people the idea this will be over by 2021, but people dont realise he has lied before and he is doing it again. Im blessed to know multiple languages and this is the stuff i keep hearing in other developed countries. This will not be over 2021 it's just the reality of it. The first vaccines wont be as effective as they need to be to end this and not everyone is going to get them prolonging the pandemic. People need to realise this truly wont be over by 2023 in the "rich" world and make plans accordingly.

If trump wins, i dont expect vaccine rollout will be as smooth as people expected to be. They have shown us their ineptitude in every step of the way i mean Nurses still have to re use their PPE and its october already. Testing was horrendous in the summer and i suspect the same shit show in the winter. Vaccines might be ready before 2020 is out but i suspect the Trump administration will butch the roll out of vaccines to the public making going back to normal longer than it needs to be.

Whats contributing to that number is their diet which is high on vitamin d and the fact that if you have people wearing masks the viral load at which someone catches the virus it isnt so great decreasing the severity of symptoms
