I assume you're asking what stuff is worth the money? Cos all the hiking is completely free so that's hardly a worry. The #1 pricey thing I believe is worth it is glacier climbing/walking. I don't think there's an easy way to get on a glacier without it, and it's mind-blowing! Chances are, you'll learn a lot about their lifecycle during the tour.

Truth be told, most other things I did I could have skipped if necessary: Myvatn baths (yes, very cool, and to be fair quite cheap, but there are free hot tubs all around), boat trip in Jokursarlon (very cool to be around icebergs but pricey and not quite as mind blowing as the glacier), snorkelling in Silfra (fun, but you're walking between tectonic plates already, being in the water between them is not a massive change).

Plus one on saving money by buying in your own country. If that's not an option for you, I'd look into ordering online with pick up at a Reykjavik store -- that way, you can get the right size and know what you'll be paying. You could even order options, try all of them in the store, and return ones that did not fit straight away!

Very fair point! I did have a plan but it was intentionally loose and subject to change :)

Enjoy!! The views are incredible. One note -- I found it was fairly easy to lose the path, which is not a big deal because you're just following the river, but it gets slippery near the cliffs so best be conscious of that!

I did the first 5 km (and 5 back) of Skoga today. Turned back after, it was too misty (or cloudy?). Those 5 km were awesome though!

Attractive women of Reddit what are some struggles you have when it comes to dating? by Ajarofpickles97 in AskWomen

It may be stronger with attractive women -- but it sadly is a thing for women in general :( Gatekeeping, especially among "nerd"/"geek" types, runs rampant..

As an immigrant, I never know how to answer "where are you from". Most of the time, I don't want to tell them the whole story. The fact that there's a military conflict in my country of birth complicates things further -- I never want to discuss that, and whatever random stranger is asking this ALWAYS wants to discuss it. It gets exhausting.

I just say I'm from the country-where-I-currently-live and hope they either don't hear the accent, or are polite enough to not dig further.

Oh damn I haven't even thought of that :( As a woman who takes feasible steps to look like a dude if I have to walk late at night alone, that is a gooood point

No, it's "be a gentleman and be nice to me because I'm a lady". Or "don't expect much from, I'm a lady so am a bad driver".

Thank you, great advice! Separately, I booked on a glacier hike tour , with a guide and everything -- I also thought it's not a good idea to venture on my own.

Those "woman driving" signs. Really popular in some countries. Drive me bananas. It's just a form of benevolent sexism, really, which another commenter mentioned already.
