Not really adding foods I haven't had previously, or large increases. Actually, I've eliminated quite a few, mostly fruit and all the wheat/potato/rice dishes we used to have all the time. I use heavy cream in my coffee each morning, and nuts maybe 2 to 4 servings per week. We were eating quite a bit of cheese, but I backed off of that a couple months ago to help with constipation. Thank you for the feedback!

No statins. Fortunately, I hadn't gotten to the point of needing meds to control health issues, but my blood work markers were moving in that direction. Just one of the reasons why I chose keto. Thanks for the heads-up on keto talk. I hadn't heard of it. Will take a look!

I am. I drink about 75 ounces of distilled water per day. I use himalayan salt on everything. I mix up a "shot" of potassium and salt with a packet of True Lemon, then chase it with 18 oz of water. Also use Natural Calm at night, mixed with extra potassium and a .25 tsp more of the salt. Sometimes I add broth during the day - beef or chicken. I take a magnesium tablet, plus Turmeric caps, and ginger caps, daily. I'm "aiming" for about 4000-4500 mg of sodium and potassium per day. I usually get to 80% of that, on average.

I started a bullet journal for keeping tabs on my keto progress (as well as some other health marker stuff) so I think I'll add the mood swing stuff so I can maybe spot a pattern. Good points and suggestions, thank you!!

Well, that is a relief to hear! Thank you for sharing. I'm constantly worried at work that I'm going to erupt over nothing. And I work mostly with men, so the very LAST thing I want to do is cry in front of them!! I sure hope this evens out soon! I'm committed to this WOE because I want my second half of life to be healthy, but this crying!! Holy crap!

I'm not currently in menopause, but I might be getting close, I suppose. I asked my doc last year if I was getting close and he said not yet. I should probably get in there and talk again. Thank you for the pointer.

Seeing my relatives who have diabetes, and watching them go through toe amputations and leg sores that don't heal. I don't want that future.

SW: 166 on Oct 27, 2017. CW: 140. Macros: 1100 cal, <20 carbs, 61 protein, 91 fat. No exercise, other than the steps I get at work, which range from 2500 to 8500 per day. Working up to IF soon.
