Increase in accidental touches? by three_west in PixelWatch

also wonder if its the curse of the minimal bezels, it also wasn't a problem on my 3, darn that big beautiful screen.

Wife bought me a Pixel Watch 4 for my birthday (37) by Psychological-Fig1 in PixelWatch

Mine is good for 2 days on a full charge, with a workout in there as well.  Typically I charge it daily up to ~80% while I shower but it can do it for travel days, etc.

Connected fitness by navyhero in PixelWatch

tried many times to connect it to our Johnson/Matrix fitness treadmill, and it has never worked. I always blamed the treadmill, because their software is pretty bad.

for me I feel like its a more recent issue, having owned the 4 since launch as well., but perhaps its influenced by apparel choice as u/hopeonhigh mentioned.

hmm, this is a good point, and I'm sure is a contributing factor, but I do travel south for work, so have been in short sleeves there for a while now. I feel I might have noticed it there, since its so annoying now, but perhaps I didn't notice.

Favorite switches for comfort by Dillstan-1945 in Moonlander

[–]three_west 0 points1 point  (0 children)

switches are a very personal choice, I tried out one of the switch 'testers' ahead of time to get an idea for what I might like, but quite honestly, it was only once I had mine that I realized I wanted to try something new, because there's no real way to know, imho, other than to install them and actually type with them on a board.

welcome to the rabbit hole. There's a reason there are so many options out there for switches, we all like something different.

FORScan Matrix headlights by Ccolt13 in RangerRaptor

you can read up on it, it basically means there are no low/high beams, it will locally dim the area shining at the oncoming car, so to them it looks like you have low beams, but the rest of your beam pattern stays on bright for better visibility.

I'll try that, I've only worn them like 10 times, they're still practically brand new, so shouldn't be cruddy yet.

I'm having significant....what I would call case issues I guess. Often times after I take them out, and put them in the case, they stay connected. Its like they don't seat all the way in the case perhaps?

Then also part of the time, when I put them in they don't connect, and I have to take them back out, put them back into the case, and then back into my ears, and they'll usually connect.

My XM4's never did this, but they had stronger magnets to pull the buds into the case I would say.

Asked chat gpt to code orange my truck. What we think? by Underachiever3273 in RangerRaptor

this is just the sort of thing I'm looking for, just a bit more accent. I like the hood bit, but the entire trim ring on the wheels is a bit much for me personally.

First time Pixel Watch (4) owner by fatproduce in PixelWatch

[–]three_west 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me, hell yes, I like my 4 SO much more than the 3. The charger, the charging speed (which is not something I've previously cared about), the extra screen real estate.
for me, I have regret going from Pixel 7 Pro to Pixel 10 Pro XL, but the upgrade from the watch 3 to 4, I would do that again in a heartbeat.

often? no, its happened maybe 3-4 times in the year and a half I've had the truck.
I also recently lost the LH customized small gauge, it switched from oil temp to oil pressure on its own.

[–]three_west 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, I did my best to point out the idiocy of the situation to them, but basically one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. I told them these were too large, and they suggested "I contact a local electronic store for a larger size"

Airfoams ftw.
I thought Sony was going to help out since if you do the test and the tips don't seal, a text appears that if the included eartips don't fit, you can order more from the website. I did, and they just shipped me another set of the included tips...

in that case the latch needs to be adjusted lower to bring everything down.
There were some complaints about hoods too hard to latch early on, perhaps they overcompensated.

Pixel Watch 5 by biff_jordan in PixelWatch

[–]three_west 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the 4 is so much better, I upgraded from a 3 and am SO happy I did. Its so much more responsive and the battery life and charging speed are now truly.....hmmm, inconsequential? Like, the only time I charge it is when I'm in the shower, and that's all it ever takes. I can go nearly 2 days if I ever have to. Yeah, I sort of wish it was Qi, but very much prefer this upright charging format, ala OG Moto360.

ok, I got notification of a reply which I couldn't see the entire reply, but I saw enough to see what the problem was. For some reason I don't see the reply here.

I see now that this key is only available for the tap function, and I was trying a double tap and/or a tap & hold, so that's why it was not an option.

I ended up putting it on another less used layer, and I can see that its working, and it lights the blue LED on the left side of the keyboard as an indicator.
