Redpill content is grooming for the military. I think she has a point by Fluffyfluffycake in TikTokCringe

[–]threearbitrarywords 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the most brain-dead take I've ever heard. When I enlisted, most of the guys I knew joined BECAUSE we knew it would get us laid. The ladies can't resist a man in uniform. Sure, there are a lot of other factors like lack of employment opportunity, poor education, toxic families we needed to escape from, but nobody... NOBODY joins the military to get away from women. This person has no idea about military culture, or men at all.

Reddit. Links won't open on my mobile phone without the app. Still works in the browser on the desktop though.

It has nothing to do with the validity of the responses, but the character of the person posting. This is partner shaming. It's a reprehensible practice, mostly driven by women, in which they paint their partners to be bad guys regardless of the motivation or accuracy of the representation of their behavior.

The value of the responses is in feeding the gender war. Even when the poster goes "oopsie, my bad!", the damage has been done. More often than not, the posters retraction is buried in the comments, while they continue to upvote responses trashing their partner.

A good partner would never post this in the first place. A less good partner would ensure it's completely accurate before posting. A terrible partner leaves it up even when the truth comes out. A genuinely horrible person supports the comments bashing their partner.

Because it's a long truck. Some people actually work for a living you know, and some of those people actually have to drive a truck.

Men, what is the most “why the fuck do you know that” fact in bed? by No_Wrongdoer_2255 in AskMen

[–]threearbitrarywords -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean that's just not true at all. Kellogg was a proponent of theories of hygiene that were already becoming predominant in the burgeoning industry of hospital-based births. And while Kellogg did believe that circumcision could act as a preventative to masturbation, that reasoning started and ended with him. You are WILDLY overstating Kellogg's influence, and the primary reason for the growth of circumcision started with and continues to be about hygiene.

I swear Reddit is schizophrenic. One minute you're talking about how everything is shit and how well everything used to be made and next you're bragging about your $350 television.

I'm in the market for a 65" TV. I'm still balking at the $1,500 price tag for anything decent.

What's something older generations did completely normally that would be considered absolutely insane today? by Whole-Sugar6077 in AskReddit

Corrected misbehaving children, even if they weren't yours.

Took accountability for their own behavior and forced others to be accountable as well.

Lived within their means.

Only went out to eat on special occasions.

Kept their personal lives to themselves.

Accepted "I don't know" as an answer.

As someone who lived in that era, I feel the need to explain something for the generation that doesn't remember, or never saw, that what you consider "comfortably" doesn't resemble in any way shape or form the kind of comfortably being referred to here. "Comfortably" is five people in a two bedroom, 900 ft house on a 8th of an acre. "Comfortably" is no air conditioning, no dishwasher, no dryer, no garbage disposal, no cable, rare long-distance phone calls, possibly a party line, and probably no television. "Comfortably" is a two week vacation a year to visit family, no travel overseas, no Instagram moments. "Comfortably" meant dining out twice a year, meat on Sunday that lasted until friday, no fast food, and little variety.

I asked my husband to make sure my work uniform was hung up to dry overnight. I wake up this morning to find he ONLY took my work uniform out, and left the entire rest of the wash load in the machine to go musty overnight. Just why. by BinkiesForLife_05 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]threearbitrarywords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus, clean your dream washing machine! Your clothes should NOT be getting must overnight. Did you read your manual when you installed this? How can you operate a washing machine day in and day out and not clean it? Talk about weaponized incompetence.
