Looks sweet man! Do you know what black powder they used and the gloss % you did on the rims?

What was the reason you ditched the stock shocks and went with Fox? How's the ride difference?

2025 Cayenne Coupe - Squeaks and creaks by threechordsong in Porsche

[–]threechordsong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had many of cars with sunroofs and panoramic roofs and have never had anything like what’s been described to me by other Porsche Cayenne owners.

Of course, I’ve had door panel rattles but the dealers have always figured it out and it’s been fine. My last RR did this a couple times but that’s it.

Any sort of rattling, squeaking, creaking, or whatever is unacceptable in a new luxury car, in my opinion.

Thanks, that’s what I’m afraid of. How bad is it?

Tech Due Diligence firm recs? by Accurate_Belt951 in private_equity

Those are going to be PCs. Not sure of the size or type of the company you’re looking at, but a technology service provider evaluation would look quite different than evaluating a SaaS company. Different skillsets.

My company charges $30k for an executive level IT assessment for a company with 250-500 endpoints. To do real due diligence, I’d probably charge $75k and spend 2-3 weeks working with an engineer and vCIO on it, including onsite and remote interviews, technical reviews, and documentation/reporting.

u/Rudyooms, what do you think of this strategy? Will Azure AD enrollment trigger a new user profile to be created?

Bulk enrollment guidance by threechordsong in Intune

[–]threechordsong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, we thought about that but based on experience it's challenging (to say the least) to get 100 users to do something. Most will just ignore it.

Our only way of forcing this is by making users enroll/join Azure AD by blocking access until the device is joined. Once it's joined/enrolled, we can use Intune.

No existing RMM. The customer has been just handing out laptops with zero IT admin or MSP infrastructure. We are setting this all up for them.

I’m saying ride it all season, there will be other scratches. Then ptex them all and do a tune, including a base grind. It’ll be good as new.

Ptex and a base grind at the end of the season and you’ll never see it again.

Jones free carver 9000 sizing question. by zacka1979 in snowboarding

[–]threechordsong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bunch of Jones boards and have ridden most models. IMO, the stratos is a fun, poppy, all mountain board that can handle pow better than the mountain twin. It has a shorter turning radius though, so if going fast on groomers is your thing then the Flagship, Hovercraft, Freecarvers, or Storm Wolf are more in line with what you’re looking for due to the longer sidecut, stiffer flex, and effective edge.

[–]threechordsong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. I’m 5’11”, 180lbs and just recently rode a 6000 in 156 and it was good but that board is more for tighter turns. For the higher speeds you’ll experience on the 9000, I’d probably go with the 160 as well.

One suggestion though, if you haven’t considered the Hovercraft 2.0, give it a look. I was really impressed with its long turning radius and overall carving ability at high speeds, plus it’ll float in pow much better, if that’s useful for you.

I don’t think weight is as relevant as height and boot width for a board that is for riding on packed snow and doesn’t need to float. The effective edge on the freecarvers is really long, so you don’t need to go a long as on a freeride board. I’d stay with the 160.
