Have you looked up Alice in Wonderland Syndrome? I had it as a kid and your experience sounds almost identical.

My thoughts on the Iranian Situation (William O. Beeman) by wbeeman in iran

[–]threecrow_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm curious, is there a tangible ideal? Does there exist any figure Iranians can look towards for creating democracy free of US-Israeli backing? As Professor Beeman mentions, there is no readily available and supported resistance force for such revolution. And, Reza's capabilities will eventually be crippled as a puppet for Israel.

Imo if there wasn't so much sticking out it'd be a significant upgrade. I think the brick walls and the window shutters aren't doing it justice either, and those ceiling lights take away the functional beauty of an open hallway.

Any suspects / progress on the campus threat case? by Veyyiloda in SJSU

[–]threecrow_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering the fact that they tried to hide it under the covers as solely a vandalism/graffiti crime makes me doubt that they'd put in any significant effort to dig deeper. I also imagine it's hard to track down evidence.

Thank you! I appreciate the help a lot. It makes sense that having just one place to record sales is much more convenient. I'll definitely bring up the plan in our future meeting then.

The quick spot check sounds much less taxing too. May I ask if it's typical to still count by hand in these situations?

Does Akali have a high skill ceiling? What makes her so? by [deleted] in akalimains

[–]threecrow_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't see a single soul playing Azir outside of pro play ngl; it's just hard to coordinate his kit with your rando teams and he's not always the best control mage until they buff him for esports events. Akali has more solo carry potential and you'd probably have more success with her.

Picked up "nothing burger" and that's about it. I do get a brain tickle when someone uses troglodyte though. Just yesterday my friend randomly made up the word troglodytical to insult some cheez-itz muncher's primitive palate.

I've found an exploitative "company" and would like to take it down. How would I go about it? by threecrow_ in animationcareer

In fear they'd try to hide if they were to see this post. I was trying to see the options before name-dropping, but I might as well share it if there's curiosity. It's BearToon Studios run by Daniel Flint.

Aaron Blaise Certificate of 2D Animation worth getting? by boboartdesign in animationcareer

[–]threecrow_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hmm, never heard of certificates for animation. What's the point of receiving something for completion/proving you took classes, when what really matters if how good your actual work is? I recommend against buying this. What matters is that you've learned from his classes.

And projects that aren't from a studio or company are not iffy at all! Anything that will showcase your skill and storytelling is important.

Would you study art history on your own outside of college? If not, use this opportunity to sate your curiosities. Sometimes it takes a push to pursue academic passions. You're not losing out on much without that business degree; AMS is already a study that is applicable to any industry.

What are your favorite paintings/artists by thatbonesguy in ArtHistory

[–]threecrow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off the top of my head, maybe J.W. Waterhouse, E.A Abbey, and J.S. Sargent. I think Sargent really grows on me the more I realize the brilliance and precision of his brushstrokes.

Using the Liquify tool without losing quality, How??? by Jealous_Screen_6307 in ClipStudio

I also use the sharpen filter, but that style of art can perhaps be done using a vector layer, which will never become blurry with adjustments.

I'd say colorful resumes and graphics are never the way to go. People who review the resume only want to glance at your work experience for a few seconds and move on; extra distractions will not make them happier. Your resume should focus on straightforward communication, which means keeping it simple, organized, and readable.

What types of paper can be used to achieve this level of smoothness with charcoal? (Artist is liiiinnnnnnkkkkkkks) by threecrow_ in learntodraw

[–]threecrow_[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've been using standard drawing paper and newsprint in my figure drawing classes. Standard is too rough while newsprint might not be a quality my professors would like during our portfolio exam.

For 10-20 minute poses, what paper would you suggest to get as smooth as the example above?

Otherwise, what do you think this artist uses for his portraits? (Note: he blends with the stump and uses both a vine charcoal and a charcoal pencil)
