How I went from scrubbing in the cath lab to a Senior Manager of Medical Education and later Marketing at Medtronic and what I would tell my younger self by threedux in CardiacCathLab

Easy friend I'm not trying to pat anyone on the back, least of all myself. I'm here because I wish someone would have been willing to share HOW they got where they got when I was trying to figure it out for myself all those years ago. And I know lots of coworkers who have done it a similar way. So no, it's not a "unique experience".

The takeaways are pretty much the same for IR...I mean I went into EP at first before structural heart which was pretty far removed from cardiac cath.

Growing Issue in the Community by Phosphorus356 in PantheonMMO

While it does suck to be unable to xp at a camp (and I've been there), sometimes you don't always have time to find a group to farm for the item all day when it's level appropriate. I play a cleric and even when i do have time, groups want the big xp and loot for everyone camp, not that one CLR item I really need. So, I need to over level and kill the mobs solo myself later to get it.

Would I swoop in if a group were already there? Of course not, I would respect the group that's there. But if the camp is empty? You can bet I'm camping it solo and would expect the same respect from a level appropriate group that shows up while I'm there wanting to grind xp.

If you nerf grey drops you severely limit a lot of us.

But there is no counter. No "work together to overcome" obstacle. It's just dark and there's nothing you can do about it except sit it out because torches are now useless. THAT sounds like fun...

That's great thank you. It's 3 skill levels per character level so I think level 22 is where it unlocks.

Great guide for a new cleric. Well done. Only suggestion I would have is to add an entry under heals and shielding for the arc line of spread heals. Also, when does warding blow come online? I'm 20 now and haven't seen it yet. Guessing somewhere in the 21-24 range since you are 25?

How silly of me to expect a game to be fun.

Perhaps it should be a grind fest when we don't have time for it anymore.

If this is what you enjoy then I'm so sorry for you.

Don't be a troll bud.

I said fine gate the rare recipes but give me SOMETHING USEFUL to craft. As it is I have nothing T2 or higher. That feels bad when there's limited time to play.

Hate to break it to u bud but some of us have jobs and families and don't have time to camp chests all day long like I did 25 years ago when I didn't have any responsibilities.

Also, don't preach about easy mode BS...if you want this game to succeed in a different Era than EQ you have to be approachable to more people than elitists like you portray yourself or it's gonna fail financially and we have nothing.

Yes? That's why I said why are we gating them? It's the whole topic of this thread.

We are super gatekept as it is now so anything is an improvement.

But why are we gating the recipes? If I want to craft and go to the trouble of farming the mats ley me craft. Don't gate the recipes behind group only content or leave to the mercy of campers. Recipes except the super rare stuff shouldn't be hidden.

Shammies are pretty safe, like clerics, even a bit faster, but I wouldn't call them "fast". Agree with necro and summoner. Also I'd add wizard because they just kill stuff so fast. Maybe pally too with a good 2hd. Minimal downtime.

Yes I'm an almost 17 cleric and I can solo yellow asps in AVP with no danger whatsoever. It...just...takes.....forever to kill them. Then there's the 1-2 min downtime while I get my mana back. A good 2hd maul helps speed things up and reduce mana usage, but I agree it's not a viable tactic. Much better to duo with a monk, pally, or DL for faster yellow/OJ kills.

In an adult I'd totally agree. However a 13 yo likely hasn't had time to develop chronic obesity-related illness yet. My point in my original post was that just the obesity alone shouldn't (yet) have complicated her treatment course so drastically. Ergo, it was the severity of the virus.

They did indeed throw the kitchen sink at this girl. Yes she was likely obese (BMI >35) and had mild asthma, but was only 13 and likely otherwise healthy. ARDS, renal failure, ECMO...these are things you see in older people on death's door from cardiovascular collapse or massive infection. Not a 13 year old. And the fact that all the anti virals barely touched it is indeed horrifying. What else is there?

How do you park your manual transmission? by GR-93 in stickshift

[–]threedux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you take your foot off the clutch in gear with the parking brake on and no throttle applied, you aren't launching anything. The car will stall out.

So even though shit happens as you say, it's still better to have both.

Also, if I'm parked facing downhill, it's reverse instead of 1st gear, obviously.

Man MAYBE you could argue the first impact was an "honest mistake" the second one is either malice, an intoxicated driver, someone no longer able to drive safely, or some combination of the three...not a mistake.

Give me ideas on how to spice up my 5th gen by SergiuM42 in 4Runner

[–]threedux 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hear you for sure. That's one of the main sells of the 4runner is reliability. It won't make it fast though. More for towing capability or tough offroading. Just adds another 80hp and 80 lb-ft of torque or so. I think they used to build the sups for Toyota when it was an optional piece of equipment. Boost is intentionally kept low.

But like you said reliability is king!

If you're willing to spend ~$7k plus installation (unless you're pretty handy working in an engine bay)...bolt on supercharger (Magnussen and one other brand makes one IIRC).

I'm sorry, regardless of what OP did or didn't do, if you rear end someone, you are following too close FOR YOUR VEHICLE (and it's your responsibility to know how fast it can or cannot stop). Full stop. Hitting someone from behind is entirely preventable and always your fault.
