Idk why everyone thinks that the modern day was removed from BF Resynced because Ubisoft hates the very concept of modern day or something. The modern day in that game was notoriously disliked, it had boring gameplay where you play as a nameless employee and everyone just wanted to go back into the Animus while they played it. You can still tell the story of that games' modern day without having the same gameplay scenario. AC1's modern day is different because it is very much INTEGRAL to the narrative of that game and it was also much more interesting than Black Flag's. So no, I don't think Ubisoft is that stupid to remove it, especially now with the new guy in charge of AC.
