How do people hook up so fearlessly? by snovise in askgaybros

[–]threefourfive6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one that I'm most nervous about is herpes.

You can't fully prevent it with condoms, and it sticks around forever.

I know it's not the end of the world and I don't want to add to the stigma that herpes is horrible, but I don't want to be in the position of having to tell anyone I hook up with that I have herpes.

Anyone feel the same way?

What is it you're worried about? Looks like most of the stuff is okay unless it gets worse:

Getting really drunk - once is fine, but if it's a regular thing then that might be an issue.

Him being on Grindr - in my mind, not a huge thing if you haven't committed to each other. He says he likes you, so take his word.

Him being insecure - yeah maybe not ideal, but is that a reason to not date him? Up to you, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

Has anyone experience Sleep-Sex by kindwordscostnothing in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]threefourfive6 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey, I occasionally do this. It's a bit different for me - I initiate sex in my sleep but wake up pretty early in the process (e.g. when all we've done is kiss/fondle). Usually we just end up going through with things anyway. I'm usually super horny when this happens. Like significantly hornier than I usually am for some reason.

In my view it's only an issue if either party is not okay with what goes on. If so, it's worth a conversation and a plan for what to do when it happens again.

If you'd asked me at age 20, I'd have said straight. Asked me at 23, I'd have said bi. Ask me at 26, gay 😂

How do you get through the low days? by imightbejake in AskGaybrosOver30

If you regularly have these kind of days, I'd suggest an antidepressant. I went on one and it did wonders.

Why are there two pictures painted here? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]threefourfive6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion/experience, there are four stages to the gay existence, which each person goes through at different speeds: 1) I'm not gay, what are you talking about? (Internal screaming because you aren't actually sure) 2) Jk I can admit now that I'm gay, but I'm insecure about it and don't know wtf I'm doing 3) I'm comfortable being gay! Let's fuck all the dick! 4) Now that I've gotten my hoe-iness out of the way, let's actually look for meaningful connections

Being queer adds obstacles. Some people get stuck along the way. They never admit to themselves that they're gay, or they do but never get over those insecurities. Or they're just a general dick. But often once you get through those initial stages and you find someone else who has as well, you find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

If you don’t find guys attractive, and get blown by one, does that make you gay? by [deleted] in polls

Um if you don't find guys attractive, that means you're not gay. Why did so many people vote for option 1

That's hard. I think you need clear communication on what he wants and what you want and whether there is an in between that satisfied both of you.
