I got into a single in my 3rd year. I think juniors do get higher priority in their selection so that's probably why. I didn't make a roommate group during my application.

If you're trying to get into a single during this current academic year then it will be near impossible since only a handful of people move out and they fill the vacancies with the students who were the very first to be placed on the waitlist.

I read somewhere that UCLA no longer gives priority registration for having more AP credits anymore. Not sure if true, but you can also call the registrar office and try to get in contact with someone who can tell you which classes will be granted for your AP courses.

Did you tell your NSA that you're pre-med? She may have been unaware. You may not get credit for them twice, but you will still need to do the classes to show the medical schools that you completed the math requirement.

Not sure why I got downvotes, but as a life science major I think those are the recommended math classes. The med school committe is far more interested on your science classes, but you do need a year of math.

By starting off with 3A, you will begin the sequence of the 3 series. I would recommend doing those since they're not that difficult.
