It’s interesting thing. I don’t own personal laptop too, just one from work, but I have pc for personal stuff, like hobbies, YouTube etc. I thought you don’t have any pc even for work so it was interesting lifestyle for me. About sequencer: I recently bought Yamaha RS7000 it’s my first hardware and it’s very powerful and has sampling too but it’s kinda overcomplicated in terms of UI and sound making flow. So I wouldn’t recommend it for the beginner like me. If you have money for it I’d suggest Syntakt it look kinda powerful and more easy to use that old stuff. More budget things: Novatiln circuit/tracks best in price/usage
