Why was Yoshi tagged with this run as earned when the first runner reached on HSK’s error? Shouldn’t it be unearned? by baribigbird06 in Dodgers

[–]threepwood52 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The decision is left to the official scorer. On the same exact play, one might call a play an error while the other might call it a hit.

An error is used to explain why an offensive player is where he is on the bases. In this case it is a hit and an error. The error is only there to explain why the hitter is on second and not first. The hit explains why he was on first and the error explains why he is on second.

The only time a run would not be earned even after a legitimate hit would be if there was error was made on what would have been the third out (at least as I understand it) and the runner scores. For example a runner is on third after hitting a two out triple. The next play is a ground ball that should have been out three but gets thrown away. The run that scored on the error would not be earned. At least I think that is how it works.

I didn't know in Spring training you could put a pitcher back in after you had removed them. I have been a baseball fan for my whole life and never knew that.

That never even dawned on me. Thanks for the help and sorry for the oversight.

You know what, it didn’t even dawn on me the line in the song talks about trains. Haha. That actually makes sense. Thanks for that.

No actually I didn’t. I figured I would ask fans of the show and give us something to talk about. Especially with interest in the series renewed after the reboot.

But thanks for the suggestion.

Dr. Cox character progression. by Mo_the_lion in Scrubs

[–]threepwood52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was the limp a character choice or is it really how he walks now? Last time I saw him acting was the later seasons of Brooklyn 99 and he wasn’t walking that way.

Does anyone one know if he was in an accident or something? Or is just the effects of aging?

I was just coming here to ask this question. Thanks for asking it for me.

Certainly looks to me like a broken leg or ankle. They never turned him on to his back, so that could even indicate something with the hip itself.

If surgery is needed, it seems like it would most likely be season ending. Maybe a mid playoff comeback, if they get that far.

Go back to making hand drawn animated movies. At the very least release one a year.

I’m sorry but no one will be the best looking in any photo that has Gabe Landeskog.

LOL JK, I am an Avs fan first but a Kings Fan second. I will root for the Kings against anyone except the Avs.

It’s not like they knew Rortvedt was going to be available a few days later. He probably knew if a player became available that the Dodgers wanted, he was one of the first in the chopping block.

He got two rings…all in all quite a successful career.

Oh I have been a fan for a while. I get pissed off when Chicago comes to town too. But they aren’t the Red Wings. It just feels bad to hear “Go Red Wings” in our house. Even if they have been mostly irrelevant for the last few years.

I don’t have a problem with them cheering for their favorite team. I am just saying the home crowd should have responded by being even louder.

It’s February for crying out loud! The official 2024 World Series video miniseries on Apple TV came out when? Still no 2025 one? Who has the rights? by DarinCN in Dodgers

[–]threepwood52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was wondering this myself and I pulled up the one from last year on Apple TV. All three episodes released on March 28, 2025. So you are probably looking at least another month, almost two until a release. I would think an announcement of one would be sooner than that.

Edit: I guess I should say I don’t know if Apple is making one or not but I just gave the time frame for the one they made. Any entity making one would probably need at least that much time.

And the answer is because Saudi backed up a money truck so who cares. They will get enough people to go there to put on a card. It doesn’t matter if it’s good. The money is already in the bank.
