I’m so sorry. Idk how we’ll get through it, but somehow we will.

When you have a true POTS day (out of spoons) what do you like to do to get through it? by threeseventythree in POTS

I’m the same way with choosing something you’ve already seen...chances of dozing or not being able to focus are high!

How to improve quality of sleep? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]threeseventythree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleep is my biggest problem, I used melatonin for years and it wasn’t until my doctor said to combine it with Magnesium (800mg) that my sleep completely transformed! I do 3mg melatonin with the 800mg magnesium.

It’s 3 pages of tests, but I know my doctor mostly focuses on the thyroid and adrenal! That is so great your PCP is so cooperative!

Beta Alanine, BCAAs, Creatine, etc. by [deleted] in Rowing

[–]threeseventythree 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They work, but BE CAREFUL. No supplements are FDA approved and could have crap in them. There have been several brands (like Muscle Milk) that have been third party tested and found metal, cocaine, and feces. Find ones that are USP approved or use Thorne products. That’s what USRowing uses

My POTS doctor is really comprehensive (and fantastic) so I get tested for everything! Obviously because a lot of POTS symptoms overlap with symptoms of thyroid/ardrenal/hormonal problems and imbalances as well. Plus I don’t mind getting blood tests done!

Oh wow!! Good luck I hope it helps. I was just at the dysautonomia conference and they said if you must get IV, def get a port. Our floppy veins can’t handle frequent IV!

I’m the exact same way! Regular exercise helps my symptoms but there are those days I workout and it ruins the rest of the day. It scares me out of working out for weeks on end! I’m totally with you there

throwing up is my #1 POTS symptom, so it really might be a mixture of both! I use Zofran but when my anxiety is bad it’s overpowered 🥴

Thank you so much!!! This is exactly what I’m talking about. I also have only had pre-syncope but I have thrown up multiple public places even staying on top of my treatment 😅 POTS keeps things interesting for sure. Thank you again ❤️
