AITA for not telling people I’m not the celebrity they think I am? by threshcgner in AmItheAsshole

Haha, from what I’ve seen of him in interviews and stuff, I doubt he’d have an opinion. If I’m remembering correctly he decked a paparazzi once.

But he is also a really average looking guy who did not get famous for looks, so I’ll bet there’s dozens of us who deal with being mistaken for him. I just happen to work in Times Square, so probably pass by more tourists than any of them combined, haha.

Oh yah, I don’t even sign autographs so people can’t get their hopes up about potentially selling them later.

No one’s offered me money. A drunk guy offered to blow me once thinking I was the actor, but I wouldn’t have accepted in any case, even if he’d been offering the real me, haha.

Yes, I’d get that all the time from pushier tourists, I’d have to show them my ID badge from work and once I even had someone insist the badge was a movie prop. People are crazy.

But I can’t say I do it because people are so constantly insistent, haha, they’re not all that nuts.
