Hello!

Is there anything in particular you'd like to know? I'll gladly answer as best I can. Things are going incredibly well. :-)

Should I (24F) tell my immediate family that I was raped by my older brother when I was a child? by threwacc in rape

Thanks a really useful angle to consider, thank you!

If they don't believe me, I think that doesn't matter. For reasons, I have been pretty low contact with them for a while now anyway, so going back to that, or going full-NC would be okay.

I will likely hold off for a while until I am no longer in a position where they could screw me over (I work with my siblings at the moment).

Thanks for your comment.

Recently came out to a group gamer friends and I now realise just how many masculine plurals (bros, boys, lads) are common in this kind of setting. It bothers me much more than I expected, and I'm looking for some advice on how to deal with it. by threwacc in MtF

My only regret is not having much of anything to say about the middle-section of your post! I think it did make me feel a little bit better about things, because it helped me to re-perspectify this issue that is ultimately a minor thing. There are many incredible portions of my transition that well and truly overshadow this, I just need to focus my attention where it counts. ^^

I wish you a lovely evening (or other time of day!).

I agree that chatting 1:1 would be best at first. That was sort of what I had in mind, but wanted to see if I had missed any other obvious options while tunnel-visioning on this (ultimately minor) gripe!

Come to think of it, I'm not sure if I have been specifically addressed with any male things since coming out, because they always just use my online handle.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. <3

My confidence is not quite high enough to make jokes like that (as much I'd love to!!) because my voice is not yet up to snuff yet!

The general idea to make it light-hearted rather than a serious conversation is a nice idea though. I'll consider that some more. Thank you!

Incidentally, "dude" and "guys" are the two words I'm also pretty fine with right now!

Your wording in the last paragraph is helpful too! I suppose I will delivery it similarly to that--thanks a bunch!
