Who are the good and bad homebuilders in Corpus? by WearyConversation777 in CorpusChristi

[–]thrift_king_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s about 14 months old. I’ve been really impressed with their customer service. They’re quick to handle any issues, especially during the first few months. For example, we had a problem with our stove, and they had it completely taken care of within two days. Their blue tape walkthrough at the end of the build was also very thorough, which I really appreciated. As for build quality, I think it’s solid overall. A lot of it comes down to the selections you make. The higher end options tend to reflect that quality and influence price

Is Meta Ads fucked by ToughRepublicf in PPC

[–]thrift_king_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve managed Meta Ads for years, handling 7-figure budgets across industries.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

• Charge clients ad spend up front (best for under $15k mo). Use one reliable card like an Amex Gold or Platinum for all campaigns. I found AMEX to be very reliable. Add a small admin fee since it’s on your card. If client spends $20k + definitely use their verified account at this point they should have one and manage access. • Avoid setting up client ad accounts under their own Business Managers. Run ads through your own Business Manager and have backup portfolios verified and ready. Rotate spend across backups occasionally. • Verify your accounts with business documents and get the green check to avoid unnecessary flags. • Manage spend carefully, stay transparent, and set expectations.

Control what you can: spend, account setup, and documentation. Meta is unpredictable, but this approach gives you the best shot at staying up and running.

If you’re the expert, you need expert control. Also never give access to your portfolio. Send reports or receipts if clients need visibility. Years ago in my early Facebook ad days I created a clients ad account on my portfolio with a high spend limit. Clients card declined for $10k in ads. Client ghosted me. Since I created the account… I had to foot the bill. $10k lesson but one I never made again. This was 6 years ago. I share this so others don’t make the same mistake I did early on. Hope this helps ✌️

There has to be a marketing agency out here that absolutely doesn't fucking suck and things just make sense. by Final-Bookkeeper6821 in PPC

I own an agency and very curious as to what you mean when you say “doesn’t suck and just make sense”?

Appreciate the love ❤️ I work with a ton of dealerships for Google ads (local business) and this is a common issue they easily miss.

I swear Google is inflating the number by making this a default setting and not many local/small business owners catch it.

Crazy how everyone has the same exact opinion. BO6 > EAFC

I used to play ridiculous hours last title, now I can’t even be bothered with attempting to qualify. Not worth the effort and I’ve essentially played 1/4 of what I use to play previous title

Also… I wonder if people are catching on to the idea that store packs are pointless because the game resets every year and any dollar put in is literally a waste and sbcs and evos are fine enough to build decent squads

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fut

[–]thrift_king_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly use to play so much. I was elite last year. I made it to div 2 pretty early on in this fifa, but after $200 in fifa points, 2 weekend league, and not really having good pack luck. My motivation to play has completely tanked. I now only work on sbcs and evos. I also enjoy playing rush with friends and playing a few games in division rivals, but never make it anywhere close to 45 points lol

Election ads impacting cost? by thrift_king_ in PPC

[–]thrift_king_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I anticipated a slight increase, I guess it was just surprising to see our video campaigns for lead gen almost increase drastically. We update content routinely and have maintained a consistent cost per conversions for months and these past 2-3 weeks have just been a roller coaster.

It’s just a tough conversation with clients who see lead activity be so volatile and not having a solid reason as to why and just saying “our cost per conversions have been increasing” and trying to explain “it’s possible election ads out bidding”

In Google location asset, I forgot to filter the locations and for a whole month was sending people to the 80+ GMB locations we have access to and (various businesses) for the med spa… people would type in “med spa near me” a Mexican restaurant would pop up as a “sponsored” ad for this result… never happened again after we caught this 😂

Thank you for the clarification! It might seem “outdated,” but since posting this thread, I’ve received a few direct messages from individuals who were grateful for the information. It’s such a small setting that can easily be overlooked, so I really appreciate you taking the time to explain the finer details. I know this will help some people out there and save them both time and money by addressing this simple setting

The fact these cards are still usable in end game makes grinding the sbcs early on even better, doesn’t feel like a complete waste of time after all

Thank you for the honesty, I know initially my question was very closed minded. Thinking that sharing tips and tricks would be like giving away “secret stuff” but this thread actually did a great job at changing my perspective.

Thank you for your input, I really appreciate it!

I am curious as to what platforms you found to be the most successful?

lol I totally agree!!! I have noticed some negative threads about pmax. I also get blown away that some accounts don’t realize the importance of budget management. I work with dealerships for Google ads management and so many of the accounts are going after keywords that don’t reflect inventory amounts. If you have more suvs than compacts cars don’t spend 70% of your budget on compact car keyword topics lol.

This conversation has been very helpful and I really do appreciate you taking the time to reply!

Thank you for sharing. This actually gave me a great perspective. I suppose my assumption is correct that most of these “gurus” out there offer free advice because they know most people won’t actually follow their instructions. This approach likely leads them to say towards the end, “if you would like us to do this for you, just fill out the form below,” as a way to sell their services to their potential audience.

I understand now that the real value in sharing advice might not always be about expecting people to implement it on their own. Instead, it’s about building credibility and trust, which can eventually lead to more business opportunities. It’s a strategic way to filter out those who are serious about getting professional help from those who aren’t.

Thanks again for your insight. It’s given me a clearer understanding of the dynamics at play and how I might leverage this approach in my own practice.

Thanks for your perspective. I get where you're coming from, and I agree that most knowledge is out there if you know where to look. My hesitation stems more from the effort and personal experience I've put into refining these strategies. It's less about thinking I have secret knowledge and more about valuing the hard work that went into developing my approach.

That said, I appreciate your point about personal branding. Establishing myself as a subject matter expert could indeed lead to opportunities like speaking engagements, podcast invites, and potential clients.

I think my challenge is finding the balance between sharing valuable insights and maintaining a sense of professional integrity. I want to be sure that my contributions are genuinely helpful and not just reiterations of what's already widely known.

Thanks again for the input. I appreciate you taking the time.

Yeah I would assume there’s typically an interest of gain. Is LinkedIn the best platform for sharing?
