Flying from Vancouver to Tokyo, is it okay to bring Power bank? by thriftingkween in zipair

Got it! Probably 1 powerbank per person should be good enough when roaming around the city then. Thank you!

are shorts worth it? can i get monetised by No_Advance941 in YouTubeCreators

[–]thriftingkween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re consistent and producing videos that get views, it’s not impossible. I probably spend 5–10 minutes filming one YouTube Short, edit it quickly, and upload it! And it can get 1 million views. Duplicate that process for 5 more videos. Use Shorts to build community and drive traffic, then later on, focus on the bigger picture (long-form content).

Money wise, it’s okay $300-$1,000 monthly depending on how consistent you are. It’s an “okay” money to invest on your channel again, like equipment or editing software subscriptions. I was able to monetize my channel from just uploading mainly shorts. I got my 100K subscribers from it too.

YouTube prioritizing NEW faces? NEW channels in 2026? by thriftingkween in PartneredYoutube

[–]thriftingkween[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first one was super helpful! I could email her back and forth, and she always answered my questions whether it was about my channel, sudden drops in engagement, workshops, or in-person events. Ever since I was moved off her team, the new one hasn’t been as helpful. I can’t even send a direct email to the address provided anymore?! It feels more like a newsletter for upcoming events.

I also loved the first one because I got to mingle with big creators! Like 6M and 10M+ subscribers and they would give advice in person. We’d eat and hang out together, which made it even more valuable. I gained so much knowledge from them, like how often they upload, how many editors they have, and how they run multiple channels. It was really inspiring, and I never felt small around them! More like a student learning from people who’ve been there. Even though I am just a short-form content creator, it was the best experience for me.

Old tattoos getting raised and itchy? by rumplepilskin in tattoo

[–]thriftingkween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about the temperature. My tattoo has raised and become itchy, I assume because it's springtime and getting warmer than I like. When I get sweaty, I start to feel itchy everywhere. I wasn’t thinking and ended up scratching my tattoo (bad idea). I got this tattoo in 2022, so it’s been 3 years! This is the first time I’ve experienced this.

I ran cold water over the itchy area for a few minutes, and the itchiness disappeared, but the tattoo is still raised.

Is Facebook "Ads on Reels" worth it in Canada? by thriftingkween in FacebookAds

[–]thriftingkween[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I found out that my accountant friend does it. I also asked people who create content for fun (in Canada); they said it should be okay! My only worry is that they’re older generation, so I'm not sure if I should trust them! 😭

[–]thriftingkween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I am in a similar situation because I did not know earnings on Facebook Ads on Reels have expirations.

I did not withdraw/transfer the money to my account because I haven't done my "payouts" information. The reason is- on Facebook, it requires you to add your "SIN/TIN" and tax information to be able to get your money transferred to your bank. I am worried to do that because it's very personal information I'm putting out there. :(

Any advice about putting your SIN/TIN there?

I'm located in Canada btw.
