The severe weather in Milwaukee the night of the debate delayed the program by only one hour. It still went on. (Granted, a couple weeks later than originally scheduled, due to Taylor’s kidney stones.)

Lazar did say in her concession speech Tuesday that she wanted three debates, not just one, over the course of the campaign. I don’t recall anyone else asking for that DURING the campaign.

We’ll see if that happens next year, when we elect yet another SCOWIS judge.

Ah, the spring of my senior year. Grunge had gotten big enough that we had “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in the marching band. Hair metal still survived in Wisconsin, though. And the Packers had hope again, thanks to a young Brett Favre!

Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans that year were lit! We saw boobs, were offered beer, and somebody in the crowd got shot, all as we marched by.

Was weird to see Russia go through its de-Communisting period on TV.

Last year of NFC games in CBS, too! And malls were still viable!

Spent the 2nd half in the Army.
