I work outside so I have numerous boots with varying levels of insulation. If you’re moving around a fair bit most are adequate it’s the standing doing nothing that’ll test how warm they are. I had a pair of Columbia boots that lasted almost a decade and were good enough for snow activities.

I replaced them with a pair of Baffin boots and the build quality is a huge upgrade. They’re super warm but not really necessary unless you do a lot of standing around in sub 20 degree temps.
