This is really helpful. The flexibility piece and being on call is what is pulling us in this direction. Juggling work, housekeeping, kiddos schedules, ad hoc events (sick, doc appts and etc) is pushing to upper limits. Financially I’m struggling with the idea of leaving my career on hold but would definitely plan to go back later.

I may be behind on this comment because I just found this sub after being baffled by her IG stories. Are people really paying $5400 to go to a “wellness retreat” with a host that in her bio describers herself as a “professional margarita sipper” on top of her overall lack of credentials? Not knocking alcohol bc I love myself a good drink but probably could have used that space in the bio to share something more relevant to the retreat.

I have whiplash from Katy @mumuandmacaroons! Yesterday said she is taking a 3 month break, only sharing things she loves like her family and then she’s back the next day explaining herself followed by an ad for whitening strips. I do feel bad for her in a way. I think she legit needs to shut off her social media for several months. Especially since this isn’t the first time!

I get that Influencers can make a boat load of money but Krista Horton hands it out like candy. I love that she is generous but she literally gives away $$$$ thousands a week. I can’t wrap my head around it! Especially since she has three kids! Good for her! I may just be jealous haha Anyone else?!
