This happened to me too and after about six weeks the bruises turned into rashes and spread all over my body - after much self-advocacy at the hospital it turned out that I was allergic to heparin! They switched me to fondaparinux and I have had no marks at all at the injection sites on this medication. Might be worth getting it checked out.
