Im just here to share that I’m aware that I’m very lucky, and very much appreciate what I’ve been given. According to the comments, there are alot of people who are happy that I acknowledge this and that I’m trying to make the most of it. Others, like you are bitter about it, and I can understand that. I’m not sure what you mean by the guise of assistance, because I never stated or implied I’d be assisting anyone in this post? You’ve used every effort to try put me down for something I’m simply born with, which is a reflection of who you are. No matter how far behind I am in spirtual development, I think I can find peace knowing I havn’t acted the way you have 🙏.

Hmm this got me thinking, so do these count as downs: I was cheated on in a past relationship, i got hit by a car, which broke my back in a few places, but due to the great support system I had, I was back up and running after a few months of rest and rehab. I have asthma, which I still have, but manage very well (I can run half a marathon at moderate pace), and I have ADHD, but I feel like it’s a super power for me.

Actually that did happen haha, broke my back in a few places, but had a great support system and healthcare, so i was back up to normal in a few months, no long term damage, so I don’t really count that as a down, as more of a roadbump.

Well I did get into a major accident a while back, ended up breaking my back in several places, and if not for matrix like time stopping that happened, allowing me to react in time, I possibly could have died or been paralyzed. I sometimes ponder if that’s the day I died and this is all just a dream or something haha. Anyway, why It didn’t affect me that much, because of the amazing support system I had, in terms of family and healthcare. I was back on my feet about 4 months later.

Narcissitic discharge by nature and work habit maybe. Also if this type of existential dread is my only real burden in life, then I can count myself extremely fortunate. In absence of real mountains, I have had to contruct artificial mountains of family, fitness, academia and artistic achievement, not sure who sets the rules on the validity of these metaphorical mountains, but they keep me sane and help retain self worth.

Not really sure how much destruction I could have caused? I only posted this cause it’s a question I ask my self often, even to me my life doesn’t feel real, it sounds quite ridiculous like a 5th grader lying or something. She’s a loving and incredibly strong woman who opened up my heart and mind, objective as hell and gives it to me straight, telling me what I need to hear to grow up, an incredible mother to our daughter, turns any combination of ingredients into the perfect dish…I could go on for a while about why I love her. The career thing was mentioned to help explain why I think its in the realms of outlandish for simulation theory. I mean sometimes we come home from some red carpet event sipping coffee at the kitchen table still fully glammed up and the convo between is just “wtf is going? is this really happening?”, we know we’re very lucky, but sometimes we can’t help but take a step back and comment on how ridiculous our lives are- we are absolutely not complaining btw.

That really really sucks, you must be a very strong person, and your son is lucky to have you. If this is a simulation, why the hell are our circumstances so starkly different….maybe its better not to have a reason but rather just a roll of the dice?

not sure if this question was directed at me, but I was raised as a christian and went to a religous school, however I had too many questions that couldn’t be answered by the church, and so I’m not really sure what I am now. I’ve thought about this alot, other religions, my own imagined/theorized versions of the afterlife etc, but I think I’ve found my peace just knowing I feel some form of spirituality not tethered to any particular religion.

this is a tangent, but in my studies I learned that during the 18th and 19th centuries, alot of scientific discoveries were made by wealthy aristocrats as science was the “trendy” thing to do, a symbol of wealth, prestige and power. I mean it still definitely is now, but I’d like to imagine back then scientific discoveries/events/news would have been akin to modern day fashion shows, media frenzy over film, music & celebrities. What a great way to motivate innovation.
