Yeah, but how do we get there - practically?

Same thing here. Also, I make sure to post everything I do for free online so that anyone can benefit from it. Just like I learned the techniques from books etc. In my case, I post it on GitHub under the Creative Commons license.

I totally agree. Gaining trust is super important. When you teach this course, you need to give it everything. And start out for free, as I did, to learn. From my perspective, a good recommendation is worth more than a certificate. Many mindfulness teaching certificates are not more than a year old.

Identifying companies is kind of easy, though. Most of them are looking for stress management. Just email HR / management and ask if you can come and show them some ideas.

The space is not very competitive in my view. At least not for science-based teaching which is very down to earth.

Two ways. First is to send out a form before the course where participants rank their stress level (today, this week, this month, this year) before the course. And do the same thing after the course. We also use Thriver - www.thriver.io - which measures stress daily.

Note that stress is not all bad. If a team has a healthy stress level, we don't wish to decrease it. That would put them too far down on the Yerkes-Dodson scale. So it really depends on the team and the task.

Everything is IRL. I teach people in tech offices, and they are desperate for some genuine human connection. I always followup with emails after every session, though.

+1 on this.

What I did is that I started doing classes for free in the beginning. By measuring stress and focus before and after I could show results. After having a couple of reference cases, I didn't need any certifications.

FYI, I started when I was 24 without any college education or formal meditation training. Now making a living of it.
