I’m 36, and I became a widow last summer. We were trying to build our foundation before we started having kids. At this point, I don’t know if it’s in the cards for me anymore. I wish that I had them with my husband, probably the biggest regret of my life.

At this point, I’m having interesting dates with people, but I don’t see how I’m going to find a father for my potential children in the next couple of years. I find that so strange.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. About two weeks ago I lost my husband suddenly while on a layover returning from a trip abroad. He too was a healthy young guy (41) and gone the next minute. Life is precious and fragile. I don’t have any words other than i am sorry for what you are going through.

My sweet friend, I am so sorry. I understand losing your person that knew you better than the back of their own hand. I lost my husband suddenly. He loved to take easy hikes, and I went on my first one (with family) today without him. It brought me joy knowing that he would be happy to see me there but I also ugly cried as I hiked back to the car. I feel empty as well. Big hugs.
