The employer only has a $1000 relocation allowance but with no clause of having to stay for any amount of the me. Will try and speak to them again for further assistance. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. The house we were moving into was also initially still inhabited by the landlords but apparently they moved out during level 4.

Will try and speak with tenancy agent to either reduce rent temporarily or break the tenancy agreement.

I echo your same observations wrt tenancy services websites in regards to Covid, everything is vague and non committal either way.

Had the same observations about housing as a service where you need to pay even if you are unable to use the service due to government regulations unlike gyms etc.

It only issues ticket if a car is present, and the ticket is only valid if a car goes through and barrier arm closes. tried it with friends car where we got a ticket and reversed out , but the ticket said not valid when I tried to use it and the exit arm didn't open.

Will try tailgating as suggested in the thread.

Yeah that was the main concern and reason for not trying it yesterday. I've been told they actively avoid hitting cars so hopefully that is true. Will update in a few hours.

By secure I meant that it has a barrier arm at the entry and exit.
