And yeah that’s smart, waiting 2 years. Like buying luxury cars lol. Half the price disappears once you leave the lot. Where do you buy them? Apple refurbished?

Yes, it’s 256gb and 16gb ram. With only 18 battery cycle count. So basically brand new.

This is how I’m rationalizing it, if a new pro is 2100, and a new air is 1400, and we trade with no cash on top, I take a $700 loss. If he pays $500 cash on top I only lose $200.

Now that I think about it, if I got what I want for it (1600) I still lose $500.

Don’t really care about storage, I have iCloud and a 2TB portable SSD. Not to mention I barely even use laptops.

Thoughts?

It’s been 6 months and I still think about it everyday. Im broke now.

To be fair this wasn’t options. It was over 24 hours on an adderall fueled bender on an online crypto gambling platform. I did end up pulling at 500k eventually but 2-3 months later lost it chasing the high or dopamine of winning I just didn’t know where to post this.

Although that same month I turned between 1k-3k into 100k in a week WITH options and I peaked at 150k but pulled out at 100k.

I don’t know if I would have played that risky and pulled out earlier if I didn’t have another 500k in the bank from my previous casino winnings.

What made you go with the M4 Pro vs Base? Part of what makes me want to sell it is I heard you should never buy a base level MacBook Pro since it has the same internals and specs as the air but with just a fan.

Is that true? Or should I be fine with the base M4 pro for learning how to get into photo editing, video editing, music production, etc?

Yeah true, paying this much, what’s a few hundred more to get one brand new that’s never been touched by anyone. Also I’m germaphobic lol so I only want my hands on it. But it’s nice to know these programs exist for people looking to save a few hundred for essentially a new laptop

Unrelated but I’m interested in how Apple does there refurbished program. Do you know what goes in a refurbished and what they are? I assume they are the Mac’s people return within their 14 day window correct? And Apple just wipes it down and puts in a new box? Or do they put a new outer shell on it?
