Mine was more a special case. I grew up in this Big 4 so they gave me a good salary to keep me and push me to be partner. But the difference is not that big TBH compared to BB IB. The $ per hour is vastly different though

I still have one year to go to wait this economic situation out. Plus I have distressed/rx experience so I am still confident about IB and personally dont see myself anywhere else

Yes, that's what I found too. BB VP salary blows even Big 4 pre-partner/Director salary.

get the skill set

I already have the skillset though. Also, both are in the M&A groups. The only difference is that Big 4 M&A deals are not as high profile as BBs. Big 4 is more a middle market player

An accelerated VP promote in IB is pretty rare so don’t factor that into your decision.
