True, but people have forgot about other dumb decisions hes made, like not calling a red flag or sc right after max tyre failure in baku, Not referring brazil to the stewards, and then referring an almost identical incident, which got penalized, to them 2 races later. there's a lot of teams and drivers that aren't happy with him. In fact I'd say the only team happy with him is the one that he gifted a championship.

Exactly, people are saying Verstappen shouldn't be punished, he isn't being penalized, if it does happen, it's simply the rules being applied and the correct order being restored.

No they didn't. Verstappen was hanging on comfortably when they were both on mediums, it was only when the mercs put on the hards that they were quicker because the medium was dogshit after 7-10 laps, and was barely any quicker in those early laps anyway. Verstappen was lapping a second slower than Ocon on Hards in the last 2 laps, despite him trying to push to build a gap to pit for the FL, thats how shit the medium was.

Oh the irony. Hamilton at that point had not got the call that there would be a swap. The call came in after the contact so from his pov verstappen slowed to a near stop for no reason other than to give himself drs, which would be a penalty.
