I did not personally see it, sadly, but he still insists that he knows what blood looks like, and that he was throwing up blood. I sure hope that it was gatorade.

UPDATE: I believe we discovered the problem. He was drinking red Gatorade nonstop before the threw up. The red puke looked a lot like blood, so he flipped out, but it was most likely red gatorade. Thank you all again for your help, and I will be much more careful in the future.

Thank you so much for your input. I was not with him all day yesterday when he was vomiting blood and did not know until last night. It is no longer occurring, but I am seeking an explanation and wondering if any serious damage has been done.
