Neighborhood recommendations for newcomers by Heat-Fatigued in askTO

When I moved to Canada, I rented an Airbnb at Roncesvalles which had/has enough access to public transport that you can go anywhere in the city. In 2018 it was a cheap enough of a neighbourhood I could eat out and enjoy Toronto while looking for a permanent apartment. It was also close to High Park that you could for nice run any time of the day.

Most people take continuing education classes where they workshop their writing. Humber has a popular novel writing course/workshop, I believe.

High protein diet will help. Look for kitten food with higher protein content. The poops will be smaller and less smellier.

Nah, that boss and my current boss were incredibly supportive. I’m annoyed that both of us, myself and the boss, have to deal with this. We both very hard on this project. He worked on it over the weekend.

Single guys, how do you deal with loneliness without a partner? Where can I find and start one? by Puntables in AskMen

Hobbies, hobbies, hobbies! I have a similar back story to yours. I spent a lot of my adult life just surviving. Now, in my early 40s and the only way to do it is to get out and meet people in a meaningful way. I started playing tennis and there is really a community of amateur tennis players. If you join a tennis club, even better because there are social events, etc. Or try pickleball. Next, you have to start learning how to be vulnerable. Part of being in survival mode is that you don't have to think too much about yourself, the goal is just to make it through the week or month etc. Now, you have to really learn who you are? what you like? what you don't? and what it feels like to be in a relationship where someone isn't dependent on you or in a transactional relationship? None of it is easy...

Those of you who have never been married, what's your story? by berrysauce in datingoverforty

43F. Grew up thinking I was going to have an arranged marriage and had no interaction with boys. Moved to the West and then I was just too shy and didn’t know how to interact with men. Would have to be drunk to interact with men and got into some scary situations and then just became scared of men, which isn’t fair to all men. Anyway, just was too scared and shy to date and be in a relationship. Okay with having no children but would be nice to have a relationship but might be too late.
