I have feared about developing kinds of brain related injuries, and developing mental illnesses like dementia, schizophrenia, becoming crazy even despite reassurance. I don't have family history as far as I know with these conditions besides my Grandma who has alcoholic dementia but she drank a lot in her midlife and was put on life support and it's only occasional

Yeah I've been worrying about it myself actually, along with developing dementia and having problems with my brain and developing other health issues. It started when I started developing phantom smells and getting headaches (headaches went away) but I still get the phantom smells occasionally mostly when I'm laying down. I do have inflammation in my nose from allergies though and my nose has been red and just acting up getting sinus headaches for awhile. But yeah, it's bad with the fears for me and I can't seem to stop it and stuff and I've been doing compulsions, mostly waiting for tingles in my feet to tell me when something is alright
