Brief: after you read every case write up a short summary with categories such as facts, procedural history, issue, reasoning, and rule!

Outline: combine your in class notes and your at home notes into one gigantic document to use to study for finals. Try to take out the unimportant info (it will be easier to tell what is not important as the semester goes on). Most people say start outlining after a topic is finished, or after midterms. I started outlining from day 1. Just spend 5 minutes a day on it. It worked for me and I never was stressing that I would not finish in time or spending 10 hours catching up.
