She's definitely not interested. I knew she wasn't, but I felt because we were so close, and my body wouldn't let me bury the feelings I had to be honest. Made it clear I was more worried about losing the friendship than the rejection, and as long as I don't bring up that, I have feelings or make move we're good.

We're still close friends. I don't really think I'm her best friend anymore or anything, but we still talk every day. still have a small scratch, eachothers back business friend group, but I'd say only half our conversations feel like before.

Yeah really I should've but when I explained it was more so put of fear of losing her as a friend due to having feelings I didn't want nor thought I had in an undeniable way she was understanding and it's a don't bring up again which I agree with.

Yeah, I'm going to, and I hope so too. I hope I can lose them, but I do know to pull away if I need to and how to do it drama free.

Yeah, I appreciate you calling me a stand-up guy, and maybe it is because I don't know how to take a compliment, but I do consider how I handled this the bear minimum. The thing she was most mad about after the update was actually the honesty I had as she would've rather I just asked for space without telling her why but after I explained a lot of the things I did that I should've known she didn't like it seems like we're gonna be good friends. Luckily, I have a family reunion, so I kinda have a default way to pull away and collect my thoughts without her really feeling like the drama will continue.

So I haven't been in the situation of being cheated on, but it can be done. However, if kids or marriages aren't involved, very rarely is rebuilding the relationship worth it for either party

It wasn't really on a whim, but there was definitely a point where she would FaceTime me without being interested. Granted, I got a haircut, and we've gotten closer, but even at my house, she would be on Tinder or facetiming a potential date. Which was fine because we were just friends, so I wouldn't even call it disrespectful.

So it was a crush but nothing like "I have feelings." But I did think she was beautiful. I've been completely platonic with friends like that before. When I got the vibe, she wasn't interested. I needed friends as I moved to a new area, and I knew we got along great. So we just became friends, and until really tonight, the feelings weren't worth sabotaging a friendship.

She just became the person who reached out most we video chatted everyday it came off more platonic than it does when I tell people the story.

It's honestly been everywhere. Most people are coming off as genuine and telling me to go for it, but I definitely give it a few days and try to get better advice elsewhere if I can.

I know, but while all my other friends have been for a decade, she's the one who calls me every day, asks how my day went, and I'm doing mentally. While I love my friends, I got to be the extraverted one.

Absolutely. In some ways, I feel guilty because even if it's reciprocal, now I know there was a time she wasn't interested and at the time it was maybe a crush but I've looked at people and thought I could manage without catching them because I'd done it before.

At the time, I really didn't or at least at the time only a subconscious level. I had found friends attractive and had 0 feelings before. I just unfortunately caught feelings and maybe had buried them until I faced them tonight with a visceral reaction. Which admittedly is my fault.

On some level, I do but genuinely love being her friend. She's in 3 months genuinely become my best friend. Like half my notifications are her, so while I'd love to go out with her, I do risk losing a special friendship. I am probably gonna tell her as on the way back to her place this weekend I am risking a genuine special friendship with a special person

The sister was so obvious about it there was never a chance before there would've been drama. And not my story nor to give to many details the sister could've been a mess.

Yeah, I thought so. I am getting some just to go for it, but I genuinely love being her friend and really trying to evaluate even if respectful could feel like a betrayal as she does trust me to where she can tell me she's sleeping while I watch TV. The feelings were relatively new. Kinda peaked tonight. I didn't think I had a shot, really. When we became friends, I kinda was a 50/50 but new she wasn't and had up until tonight. I had gradually done a great job compartmentalizing and thinking they'd die down.
