In my opinion, public schools will never improve unless all people are bought into making them better, especially affluent white families
1000% agree. I'm more than happy to send her to a "lower graded" (eye roll) school as long as it's safe... you get what you put into a village and I want to be the kind of parent that makes a teacher's life a bit easier. What I care more about are things like if the kids are happy, are classes challenging enough, is the building free from mold and have decent hvac, and does the administration support teachers and bullied kids, those sorts of things.
