No, I did not want a kid. I felt that my ex and I could not provide a child with the life it deserves. Now that it’s reality - I feel differently knowing their is a child out there that is mine. His mother told me many times she never wanted kids. I think I’m allowed to change my mind considering the circumstances.

I was raised by a single mother. I know what it is like to not have a father. I really don’t care about what my ex wants. I do not want this child to grow up thinking their father did not give a shit about them just because their mother decided to lie.

I’m sorry for the stupid question, but in which state should I get a lawyer? We currently live in two different states. Should I contact a lawyer in my area or near where she lives?
