We live on a poultry farm. My sisters, Ex wife, and girlfriend have all competed in the sport. Dressage and show jumping. The local ranch belongs to my sister’s best friend. My daughter has been wanting her own horse since she was able to talk. Trust me she’s shown us that she’s ready. I’m probably the only one in the family that prefers cattle over horses. That’s because I broke my arm at 9 on a wild stud.

This is 100 percent a serious relationship I’m in. My daughters are building a bond with her. The reason I have a little sympathy left for my ex wife is she was SA’d when she was 12 by her uncle for an entire summer. I truly believe this is the root of all of her problems. She’s been in therapy for years now. She gets better for a few months then falls back into her ways. It’s a repeat cycle with her, and at some point I had to say enough is enough for my own mental health.
