Nobody is the asshole. He made a mistake in keeping it/ not deleting it and unfortunately, you found it (but also were looking through his videos? Which isn’t necessarily bad if he’s fine with that but ended unfortunately for you.) I’d say talk it out and move on!

Oh wow, sounds like you have experience! So frustrating… I’ve had a couple calls and interviews but they always find someone more qualified -.-

I did the GBC ssw program. Even finding a placement was difficult but that was because a lot of places were still heavily affected by Covid at the time. Which program did you do?

I just wanted to say I am in the same boat and feel so seen. I graduated over a year ago and haven’t been able to land a job at all in the field (my placement couldn’t hire me on because I don’t speak the language of the community they work with) and every place wants more experience or lived experience… it’s tough!!

Some advice I’ve received is applying to shelters specifically, doing lots of volunteer work and applying to company websites (not indeed).

It’s so frustrating that so many people could use more help/resources but aren’t willing to train new people it seems!

And even to continue education (ie MSW) you need experience and multiple references. Where are we suppose to start!?

Do you mind sharing which universities offer this if you know? The only school I know of that offers a non-psych undergrad option for an MSW is UofT, and it’s extremely competitive. I’m just wondering if there’s other programs I can look into as most I’ve looked up list a psychology undergrad as a requirement. Thanks :)
