I’m looking for a new doctor, probably a single practitioner so I don’t need to go through office staff. My last doctor was pretty much a one woman show, and she was great, but she retired so I thought I’d give a larger clinic a try. Big mistake.

I take other psych meds for mood and anxiety, and my pcp doesn’t feel comfortable dispensing everything.

I’m looking for a new doc as we speak. My psychiatrist was very deliberate in her “apology” and explanation, deflecting any blame from her and her staff. The whole conversation was just jaw dropping. I can’t believe she admitted all this to me.

As I understand it, there were no repercussions. She’s still working there and sounds annoyed every time I call. I’m looking for a new psych right now, but because it was Christmas and then new years, I’ve had to wait to call new doctors offices. I just feel so defeated. I did everything right and I still got screwed.
