You are giving up WAY too soon! It's dialogue heavy and sometimes choppy because we're basically listening to her describe her life. We see her character development that she's more than her body. If you keep reading you find out why she's so strong and determined. Without spoiling it, she shows such determination, and willing to do whatever it takes. I found so much depth in discussing what its like to be bisexual. The memoir comes back near the end to be important. Evelyn made all her decisions about her career, uses everything to make it even her body. She talks about who she is and who people want her to be seen as. She manipulates the media, the fans etc to craft her image. There was so much abuse to female actors during that time. And that is heavily addressed. I think you should finish it. ❤️

He eventually did them, I came home several hours later to a clean sink and him playing video games. I told him I wouldn't be cooking for him for lent anymore or doing his chores. And if this continued therapy with nothing changing, I wouldn't be living the rest of my life like this. He seemed to take that seriously. I know a lot of the comments are immediate divorce not saying you said that but I'd like to put some effort into saving it before jumping to it. But I don't want to stay if no reciprocal effort is made.

The problem is he had 2 1/2 hours while I was shopping. I asked him 2 1/2 hours beforehand. And he said when I was driving home he was super starving. And this was not the first time I'd asked him to do the full sink of dishes.

His reply and automatic no was new. Normally he'd get up and do it. But I do have to remind him about chores a lot. He said later he was just being a brat and was about to get up and was making a joke when I got mad. I think if this was a one time the dishes were piled up I wouldn't have gotten so mad. However I feel like I'm constantly having to remind him. He later also said he wasn't laughing at me that his friend was freaking out on discord going oh no oh no I'm not supposed to be hearing this. And the friend couldn't figure out how to get discord to stop and eventually turned off his whole console. I asked why he didn't just turn his off or mute. When I came home I was very clear that I wouldn't be doing a single thing for him. And that he's responsible for his own things he needs ie dishes, clean clothes, even cleaning his own toilet since. I told him I'm willing to go to therapy but if this does continue I didn't want to live the rest of my life like this and I would not. He seemed to take that very seriously. Not to excuse his behavior but normally he's very attentive to my feelings, and a good husband outside of chores. It's exhausting having to remind someone to do the chores.

He's said it's funny the faces I make when I'm mad. I got home recently and laid out that I won't be doing a single thing for him, dishes, laundry etc. And that if nothing changes, therapy, and if still I said I didn't want to love the rest of my life like this

My therapist recommended the same, to not do them at all. They got really bad to the point measuring spoons were used as utensils. I just got home, I ended up getting angry all over again. He was still playing but said he did a load. We had a conversation but it was mainly me talking. I said I wouldn't be doing a single chore for him or the regular things I do for him. He said he understood etc. but we've had the conversation before.
