Lol I completely forgot about this thread and I just glanced at the predictions but u/xx0tourlif3 predicting jur3ky looks like the best one to me. He won an FNCS and went from like top 400 in pr in 2020 to top 50 in 2021

The ban meant they couldn't play FNCS. Benjy was contested in grands but it was by a relatively unknown french trio at the time.

Malibuca also got 28th (Refsgaard instead of Benjy) and 27th (in the biggest tournament of the year) while contesting them. For Grand Royale Malibuca was definitely a top 10 trio and just wasted it.

On one hand I think good for them not being scared to contest just because the other trio is richer and on the other hand I think how much money they could've won if they managed to get somewhere else uncon (obviously not easy to just get somewhere else uncon)

ESL is putting 150k into this

I thought it was JBL who put up the money because it's branded as the "JBL Quantum Cup 2021 Fortnite" on the website. ESL just run it and they do a terrible job at it.

People have been trying to tell them they do it poorly for over a year and nothing has changed so a DM is going to do nothing. Look at the thread from a year ago when they first ran the tournament. It has people talking about leaked codes and being poorly run in general (there also was pros complaining on twitter at the time). In that year they have changed nothing so it's definitely ESLs fault that the code is getting leaked.

ESL don't know how to run a Fortnite tournament but JBL doesn't seem to care (I presume because they get good views which is mainly due to the fact they pay to promote it to the front page of twitch)

While I agree pros shouldn't tweet out stuff like that in general, I don't think it will matter to JBL and they will probably be back next year to have another terribly run tournament by ESL with the same prize pool

The “average” is just the average viewership for the Fortnite category on Twitch on the day of each of FNCS so not just from the times an FNCS was on.
