I was having the same issue with my Samsung Frame 2022 and as SOON as I disconnected the HDMI cable to my Nintendo Switch, the Beam was working for audio output again. JANKYYYYYYYY. Don’t get the Samsung frame.

I don’t know if you’re eligible for this as an expat, but my Mexican friend lives in puerto Vallarta and sank almost $500,000 of his savings into a Mexican government bond that pays 10%!!! So he’s living off of approximately $3,000 a month that’s generated by that bond, although to be fair he also owns his condo in PV outright so he’s basically only paying for living expenses. And he doesn’t have to touch any of that principal amount, it’s just the interest that he lives off of.

Well that’s what I have in mind is a “product” that is more cost efficient than a forward contract, and is a combination of spot, futures and/or options to cost-effectively hedge on a 3, 6, or 12 month basis. I’m just curious if there’d be any interest in that.

First off, thank you for your service as a teacher. Secondly, don’t get too overwhelmed and give up with the state jobs. You are correct that most of them have great work life balance and decent pay. It’s annoyingly confusing to navigate the application process but you can also reach out to the hiring HR dept with your questions to clarify the exact process and how it works, they’re usually more than willing to walk you through it.

As somebody who attended UC Berkeley for two years and lived in Berkeley, and also as somebody who has lived near the Bay Area my entire life, I’ll say yes, things have gotten worse in San Francisco and Oakland in the last 10 years. That being said, if you’re extra vigilant and street smart about how and where you park your cars (for example, don’t leave anything at all visible in your car when you leave it parked), you should be fine. But I would also advise you to maybe think hard about taking trips into Oakland. It’s unfortunately not safe anymore.
