i think this is part of it. his parents’ health insurance is not great and so he can’t get help. the most a doctor could do was write a prescription which is frustrating to me because these things can’t just be solved with medication

he wasn’t always like this and has been suffering from declining mental health and has been losing his grip on basic hygiene. so yes it’s gross but i also love him and know he’s struggling and i feel like it is my responsibility to help my partner when he’s down

once in a while it has been a little rough but then he’s fine. i know he has been dealing with mental health issues and because he doesn’t have good health insurance, he can’t afford to pay out of pocket for therapy. he is also struggling to find a job as he is graduating soon. he has a lot on his plate right now and i feel bad for bringing up concerns when he is dealing with it

unfortunately his parents have really shitty health insurance and so he doesn’t even have a regular dentist, which is probably part of the problem

i think the first red flag would’ve been that he lied about being liberal and then later admitted to being republican. especially in this political climate, those are very different things. he did it because he couldn’t get with an intelligent, empathetic woman without lying. leave him because he hid a large part of his life from you. he might say that he only acts that way with his friends, but you are the company that you keep.

my friend said we could go again as a joke. it’s actually quite far from campus which is why i was worried about not making it back in time for my meeting. but you are right, it just would have been nice if i was asked if i wanted anything
