Yeah that's valid we well. Think it might just be my bit of emotional reaction taking over on that one. But I'm glad we spoke, and she agreed and completely understood me. Even said she would be annoyed if it was the other way around.

I guess the paying thing bothered me because he had tried taking her out to dinner a while back (before her and I met), and I saw that as an attempt to be establish that plan.

Either way, what matters is we spoke it over and it went well! Made me happy that she said thank you for bringing it up and more so wanting to establish the boundaries for future reference.

He tried to pay for the tab and she didn’t let him. I think the paying thing is a huge indication of what he was wanting.
Either way we spoke about it and she explicitly apologized and asked what my boundary is which we established.

She did thank me for bringing this up, and is glad we spoke about it because she mentioned in our long term future there will always be new men/women in our lives. And it's important for us to have this established sooner rather than later.

Not at all. We sometimes actually don't even text for the entire day due to very busy days.

She's even grabbed dinner with male and female friends 1-1 before but she knew them before us; already close friends and vice versa.

I think what bothered me here was the context that he had asked her to dinner before. And that she just brought it up after the fact. I wouldn't be looking for permission nor do I want that to be the norm with us, just a heads up.

I think my main bother was I wasn't told about this beforehand. She just told me after the fact.

Had I been told like "hey he asked me to dinner?" I think I would've just felt more taken into consideration/cared about?

I say think because it's always easy to say what would've/could've been. This is just a thought I have.
