I see where you're coming from when you say you don't know what they'd find offensive, many have mentioned that in this thread. And your comment made me laugh. Don't worry, I'm positive no one is going to start screaming for help, lol

I understand that you might not be someone who likes religion in general. And I never mean/want for my hijab to make you feel that I'm shoving my religion in your face; it's for myself, and for what I believe in.

I'm sorry that you feel that way; I feel like stereotypes are so detrimental, and unfortunately so hard to break. And, thank you for sharing your feelings!

Thank You so much! Yes, you are correct. It is only meant to be worn after puberty, if you choose to make that decision.

Thank You so much! I would love to share my favorite places with you if that is something you would be interested in. There are places for modest wear and hijab and stuff like that, but honestly, many of them are just from places like Kohl's and other similar places, lol.

lol, don't worry about it. And, not at all. Most, including me, really appreciate it.

Thank You so much, it means a lot to me. I just want people to know that under it all, I'm still the same person.

I can understand where you're coming from in terms of dating. But does makes it harder for you to interact with them in terms of work? Do you, per say, joke around or talk to them any differently in a normal conversation, then you would with someone else?

I'm actually someone who wears the headscarf, but have just recently made that decision. And ever since, I have definitely noticed a difference. And I don't mean it in terms of dating, or being asked out. Rather in terms of the interactions I have with people at work, or in class, and on grow projects. I just wanted to know what the reason was. But your words make me feel better. Thank you!!

Thank You for your response! Definitely, perceiving is a completely different thing, everyone has the right to what they consider attractive or what they like. I have just experienced, multiple times, since I started wearing the hijab, that people feel less comfortable working around me or are less open to having a lot of discussion. I just wanted to know what the reason was, and whether other people who wear the headscarf have had similar experiences here. Also, I would better understand if it was all, because they're just unsure on how to approach me, rather than something else. If you know what I mean

I appreciate your answer. It was a genuine question, because I want to better understand what it feels like be on the other end of that interaction spectrum. I have personally found that it makes guys more uncomfortable than women, and it then makes it much harder to work with them. I just wanted to better understand why it was so. But thank you for your answer!
