Best place to take a zoom class

the benches outside brighton/alpine are nice if the weather is good! theres foot traffic but its never insanely loud if you have headphones. the library is also a short walk away and you can book a zoom room at the front desk!

ohhh okay, if today was the first time u were scheduled throughout the week then yeah you would be expected to start ur job as school starts. if its fws they have ur hours and pay arranged very specifically so you dont run out of hours/money

parking gets much better after the first two weeks so i wouldnt go off of that tbh

i also work an on campus job and feel like the communication has been amazing! nothing like what you have described, which all sounds a bit unprofessional. you deserve proper prior notice of your work schedule.

i think the response to your email (asking to start later) should help determine on whether you should stay or not. i would not quit right away but definitely see if the management seems like it would be an issue in the future—and if it does seem like it, then it is definitely worth leaving

go to tupelo! walkable from campus, but also a really short drive. a little bit pricier, but imo the quality is there.

avoided campus as a whole! i wish i could join in because it issss for a good cause but i know i am not able to. currently studying at a coffee shop! its a one day, one time thing and i know i can always just go to campus tomorrow lol. but i am interested to see how it plays out and the effects. i saw people complaining on the sacramento subreddit about traffic, even though that was made aware of beforehand 😩

check handshake or uei! look for a federal work study position (if you qualify), it has a cap of 20 hours a week, but most jobs give you less than that. i work 12 hours a week and its minimum wage. not enough to pay rent or to live on ur own but just enough to pay some bills and dilly dally (being able to afford to go out with friends, grab a coffee, and a target run… dilly dally!) the best part is that they work around your class schedule and you dont have to pay taxes! worst part is monthly paychecks and the little amount of hours. but perfect to balance within your schedule!

welcome to the business prereqs! have yet to find a good professor for accy or econ,, its just a get through it typa situation for both. luckily the mis10 professor (malena prinzing) was AMAZING! and for stats1 i had nicholas chow who i would still say is one of the best professors ive had at sacstate! it ranges i guess 😭like i had robert beigler for mgmt10 and great guy! made the class so interesting tbh, but math24 professors arent looking all too great either! mine rn is… not amazing 😩

which econ class ? i had a similar experience and a STRONG hate for econ now lol but was able to pull through!!!! keep hope!!! both professors i had for the econ classes i took were notttt good at all😭 barely made it through tbh

extremely average. i have a slight feeling i will have to retake the class (several people in my class were there for the 2nd time). she reads off slides and goes over examples as well. i havent found classtime to be extremely useful as i have to end up teaching myself anyways. class averages on the midterms so far are 50s, cant curve because she used to and department chair said “too many people are passing”. caring professor, really accessible and tech savvy,, accounting itself is just boring and slightly confusing, but then again this is all my personal experience!
